Liaison Student Medical Insurance is a popular medical insurance plan for traveling students. Whether you are a foreign national studying in the United States for several years or a U.S. citizen studying abroad, Liaison Student is designed to protect you during your time away from home.

  • Liaison Student Medical Insurance provides a lifetime Policy Maximum of US$ 1000,000
  • $0, $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1000 per injury or illness.
  • Deductibles are lower if first treated at the Student Health Center
  • Outside the U.S.:
    Economy : In network plan pays 80% of the first $5,000, then 100% to the medical maximum.
    Choice : In network plan pays 90% of the first $5,000, then 100% to the medical maximum
    Elite : Plan pays 100%
  • In USA:
    Economy & Choice : Plan pays 100% up to the policy maximum
    Elite : In network, plan pays 100% of the first $5,000, then plan pays 100% up to the policy maximum per year.

The minimum period of initial coverage under Liaison Student insurance is 5 days and

For those intending longer international trips there is an option to enroll for at least three (3) months of coverage, a notice will be sent to your address of correspondence, allowing you to purchase an additional period of coverage (minimum of 1 month, maximum of 12 months)Coverage can be renewed as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.

Liaison International Student Medical Insurance is underwritten in all the states by United States Fire Insurance Company, except CT, IN, ME, MD, MT, NH, OR, RI, VT, and WA, which are underwritten by Lloyd’s of London.

Liaison Student Insurance is administered by Seven Corners, Inc.

  • Eligibilty

    Non-U.S. Citizens:

    International Students, visiting Faculty, Scholars, or other persons age 13 and older who are temporarily residing outside their Home Country. The Insured must remain engaged in full-time educational or research activities outside their Home Country during the Period of Coverage.

    U.S. Citizens:

    All United States Students, visiting Faculty, Scholars, or other persons with a current passport who are temporarily residing outside the United States and are engaged in full-time educational or research activities.

    Coverage becomes effective on the latest of the following:

    • The date Seven Corners receives a completed application, and premium for the period requested; or
    • The Effective Date requested on the application; or
    • The moment the Insured Person departs their Home Country airspace; or
    • The date Seven Corners approves the application.

    Coverage will end on the earlier of the following:

    • The moment the Insured Person returns to their Home Country; or
    • The expiration of 12 months from the Effective Date of Coverage; or
    • The date shown on the ID Card issued by Seven Corners; or
    • The end of the period for which premium has been paid; or
    • The Date the Insured Person fails to be considered an Eligible Person; or
    • The date / moment the maximum benefit amount has been paid.

  • Remarks
    • PPO Network:When you are in the United States, you can use the United Health network. Seven Corners Assist can help in identifying a provider close to you. Outside the US: Seven Corners Assist provides valuable assistance in locating the best possible medical treatment.
    • Renewal: If you choose to purchase less than three months of coverage, Seven Corners will assume that your international trip is complete and will not send any further notices. You can renew online
    • Cancellation: Refund of total plan cost will only be considered if written request is received by Seven Corners prior to the Effective Date of Coverage. If written request is received after the Effective Date of Coverage, the unused portion of the plan cost may be refunded minus a cancellation fee, provided no claim has been submitted to Seven Corners for reimbursement.
