  • Outside the U.S.:
    After the deductible is paid, the program pays 100% to the selected Medical Maximum up to the Overall maximum Limit.
  • Inside the US:
    After the deductible is paid the program pays 80% of the next $5,000 of Eligible Expenses after the Deductible, then 100% to the Overall Maximum Limit. Coinsurance will be waived if expenses are incurred within the PPO and expenses are submitted to Underwriters for review and payment directly to the provider.
  • Coverage is available for a maximum duration of 364 days. Coverage can be purchased in a combination of monthly and/or daily periods by paying the appropriate plan cost.
  • The plan can be purchased for a maximum of 364 days at any given time.

  • Eligibility
    • US Citizens and non-US Citizens who are at least 14 days of age are eligible for coverage under this plan.
    • US Citizens and Residents are not eligible for coverage within the U.S, except as provided under home country coverage or an eligible benefit period.
    • Individuals age 65 to 79 as of the Certificate Effective Date are subject to $100,000 Overall Maximum. Individuals age 80 and over as of the Certificate Effective Date are subject to a $10,000 Overall Maximum.
  • Plan Benefits

    Atlas America Insurance offers a broad range of benefits including:

    • In-patient hospitalization, surgery, medical diagnostic expenses (up to policy maximum)
    • Out-patient doctor office expenses (up to policy maximum)
    • Prescription Drugs (up to policy maximum)
    • Emergency Medical Evacuation(up to $1,000,000)
    • Political Evacuation (up to $10,000 Lifetime Maximum)
    • Repatriation (up to overall maximum limit)
    • Intensive care (Usual, reasonable and Customary charges)
    • Common Carrier Accidental Death – Not subject to deductible or coinsurance
      Up to age 18 – Maximum of $25,000 per member; Under age 18 – $10,000; Age 18 through 69 – $50,000 per member;
      Age 70 to 74 – $25,000 per member; Age 75 and older – $12,500
    • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (excludes loss due to common carrier accident; 250,000 maximum benefits per any one family or group.) Under 18: $5,000; 18-69: $25,000; 70-74: $12,500; Above 75: $6,250.
    • Terrorism Coverage ($50,000 Maximum Lifetime Limit, Eligible Medical Expenses only)
    • Addition of chiropractor care to physical therapy benefit – $50/day (must be ordered by physician).
  • Remarks
    • PPO Network: Atlas America Insurance within the US uses PPO Network. Check network providers in your area at: www.worldtrips.com. For assistance locating a provider, contact us at 1-800-605-2282
    • Eligible U.S. claims incurred inside the PPO network will be paid at 100% after the plan’s deductible.
    • Renewal: Policies purchased online for 5 or more days are eligible for renewal. Policies can be renewed online before the expiration date of the plan. There is a $5 renewal fee. A new plan must be purchased after 364 days of coverage.
    • Cancellation: A full refund of premium is possible if a written request is provided prior to the start of the plan. Premiums may be refunded after the certificate effective date subject to the following provisions:
      a. A $25 cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs incurred by us; and
      b. Only the unused portion of the plan cost will be refunded; and
      c. You cannot have filed any claims to be eligible for a premium refund
