The person has to be under the age of 66 and he has to be covered by a regular medical insurance in his home country. The spouse of an individual covered by Atlas Multitrip insurance is also eligible for coverage if he or she is under age 66 and has a medical insurance coverage in his or her home country. The same eligibility criterion is applicable to any dependent children within the age of 14 days to 19 years.
Atlas annual travel insurance offers coverage period of 12 months and the policy becomes effective from the date you have submitted the completed application form and the premium or on the date that you choose and put on the form. The coverage ends with your return to your home country. The insurance coverage for your spouse or dependents, if purchased, is same as your own but only applicable if they go on the trip abroad. You can also avail the coverage of medical expenses in your home country if you are within a Benefit Period which begins if you are diagnosed with or treated for a covered injury or illness while your stay abroad.
