  • Trip Cancellation – 100% of Insured Trip Cost ($50,000* )

    For the Certificate Period Travelex Travel Select Insurance will pay 100% of Eligible Expenses up to the Overall Maximum Limit.

    You must be a United States resident or citizen to purchase a protection plan.

    GENERAL PROVISIONS

    The following provisions apply to all coverages:

    WHEN YOUR COVERAGE BEGINS

    All Coverages (except Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation and Post-Departure Trip Interruption) will take effect on the later of 1)the date the plan payment and enrollment form has been received; 2)the date and time you start your Covered Trip; or 3) 12:01 A.M Standard Time on the Scheduled Departure Date of your Covered Trip.

    Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Coverage will take effect at 12:01 A.M. Standard Time on the day after the date your plan payment and enrollment form is received. Post-Departure Trip Interruption coverage will take effect on the Scheduled Departure Date of your Covered Trip if the required plan payment and any necessary enrollment forms is received.

    WHEN YOUR COVERAGE ENDS

    Your coverage automatically ends on the earlier of:

    1. the date the Covered Trip is completed;

    2. the Scheduled Return Date;

    3. cancellation of the Covered Trip covered by the plan;

    4. your arrival at the return destination on a round-trip, or the destination on a one-way trip.

    All coverages under the plan will be extended if your entire Covered Trip is covered by the plan and your return is delayed by unavoidable circumstances beyond your control.

    If coverage is extended for the above reasons, coverage will end on the earlier of the date you reach your originally scheduled return destination or seven (7) days after the Scheduled Return Date.

    Travelex Travel Select offers a broad range of benefits including:

      • Purchase the plan within 21 days of initial trip deposit and pre-existing medical conditions are eligible for coverage
      • Trip Interruption of up to 150% of your insured trip cost
      • Up to $500,000 Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation
      • Baggage coverage up to $1,000
      • Children under 21 covered at no additional cost when accompanied by a covered adult family member; limit of 1 child per 1 adult. Additional purchase requirements apply.
      • Optional Transportation Pak and 3 Lifestyle Paks available.
      • First Payer Coverage means easy claims handling, less time and hassle to receive reimbursement for eligible losses from us first, with no deductible. Funds may be recovered from your medical or other collectible insurance plans
  • Remarks
      • PPO Network: Travel Assistance services can help you locate physician worldwide 24/7
      • Renewal: A new application is needed for subsequent trips.
      • Cancellation: If you are not completely satisfied within 10 days of purchasing this protection plan, Travelex will refund your plan cost, as long as you have not departed on your trip or filed a claim.

      GENERAL EXCLUSIONS This plan does not cover any loss caused by or resulting from: intentionally self-inflicted Injury, suicide, or attempted suicide of the Insured, Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner while sane or insane; Normal Pregnancy or Childbirth, other than Unforeseen Complications of Pregnancy, of the Insured, a Traveling Companion or a Family Member; participation in professional athletic events; motor sport, or motor racing, including training or practice for the same; mountain climbing that requires the use of equipment such as; pick-axes, anchors, bolts, crampons, carabineers, and lead or top-rope anchoring or other specialized equipment; operating or learning to operate any aircraft, as student, pilot, or crew; air travel on any air-supported device, other than a regularly scheduled airline or air charter; war (whether declared or not) or act of war, participation in a civil disorder, riot, insurrection or unrest; any unlawful acts committed by the Insured; Mental, Nervous or Psychological Disorder; if the Insured’s tickets do not contain specific travel dates (open tickets); being under the influence of drugs or narcotics, unless administered upon the advice of a Physician or intoxication above the legal limit; any Loss that occurs at a time when this coverage is not in effect; traveling solely or substantially for the purpose of securing medical treatment; any Trip taken outside the advice of a Physician; Pre-Existing Medical Conditions of an Insured,Traveling Companion, Business Partner or Family Member (within a 60 day period immediately preceding coverage effective date). The following exclusions also apply to the Medical Expense Benefit: routine physical examinations; mental health care; replacement of hearing aids, eye glasses,contact lenses, sunglasses; routine dental care; any service provided by the Insured, a Family Member, or Traveling Companion; alcohol or substance abuse or treatment for the same; Experimental or Investigative treatment or procedures; care or treatment which is not Medically Necessary, except for
      related reconstructive surgery resulting from trauma, infection or disease; coverage for Trips less than 100 miles from the Insured’s Primary Residence (also applies to the Emergency Evacuation Benefit).The following exclusions also apply to Accidental Death and Dismemberment: Benefits will not be provided for the following: loss caused by or resulting directly or indirectly from Sickness or disease of any kind; stroke or cerebrovascular accident or event; cardiovascular accident or event; myocardial infarction or heart attack; coronary thrombosis; aneurysm.
