The latest, and one of the most state-of-the-art, visitor attractions in the world opened on July 6th in London. Emirates Aviation Experience was officially declared open by Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, and the president of Emirates Airline, ready for visitors to the UK’s capital.
The Emirates Aviation Experience is an interactive attraction that pulls visitors into the world of aviation. Visitors undertake a journey into flight that cost the developers more than 4 million GBP to create, and is guaranteed to cause lines to form outside its doors. The attraction is a first for the UK and it includes commercial flight simulators – four in total, including a 777 aircraft and A380 planes. In addition to getting in the cockpit visitors can view a 3D hologram of the inside of a plane, HD videos, and replicas of flight decks.
The Emirates Aviation Experience is billed as an educational celebration of flight and the importance of the airline industry. Children and adults will be interested in finding out how airplanes work, how they get off the ground, and how they land. In addition to the flight simulators visitors can enjoy a virtual wind tunnel that demonstrates the principles of flight, touch-screen games, shops, cafes and bars.
Visitors to the capital of the UK will find the flight attraction at the end of the Emirates Air Line cable car, on the Greenwich Peninsular. The Emirates Aviation Experience is open every day from 8am to 7pm. London already boasts a whole host of visitor attractions, making it a top draw for travelers to Europe. Don’t forget to purchase your travel insurance package for your European trip so you can enjoy these attractions with full peace of mind.
