International Major Medical Insurance provides temporary major medical insurance coverage. Major medical insurance for visitors and foreign nationals visiting the US is available. Returning US citizens not eligible for coverage in the US due to residency requirements can also purchase the plan.

Plan Details
- Major Medical provides coverage upto US$50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000. For ages 70-74 maximum coverage is $250,000, for 75-79 $100,000 and $50,000 for ages 80-84.
- Range of deductibles from $100, $250, $500, $1000, $2500 and $5000
- Outside the U.S. and Canada:
After the deductible is met, the plan pays 80% of eligible expenses of next $5000 and then 100% upto the maximum limit. - In USA:
After the deductible is met, the plan pays 80% of eligible expenses of next $5000 and then 100% upto the maximum limit.
- Optional coverage can be purchased for Sports Activities, War and Terrorism coverage, Kidnap and Ransom coverage and Accidental Death and Dismemberment.
- International Major Medical plan is available on a short term or long term basis.
- International Major Medical Insurance is underwritten by Lloyds.
- International Major Medical Insurance is administered by Peterson International Underwriters.

Eligibility
- Coverage is available to foreign nationals visiting or working in the US. US citizens who are temporarily unable to purchase domestic coverage due to residency restrictions. Foreign nationals working for a US company needing coverage in their home country or outside their home country.
- Coverage becomes effective on the latest of: When the application is approved and premium is received or the date indicated on the application.
- Coverage will end on the earliest of: The date requested on the application or till when the premium is paid.
