AmGrad Care insurance is an international health plan designed to meet the needs of international students. The AmGrad Care Plus and Preferred plans have ACA comparable benefits.
All international students, scholars or other persons with a current passport who
are eligible to enroll for this plan. Those enrolled in an English language or similar program or an Optional Practical Training Program or with an F or J visa are also eligible to enroll for this plan. The named insured must actively attend classes for at least the first 31 days after the date for which coverage is purchased with the exception of those with a J visa or those engaged in an OPT program. Eligible students who do enroll may also insure their dependents. Eligible dependents are the spouse and children under 26 years of age. Dependent eligibility expires concurrently with that of the insured student.
Coverage becomes effective on the first day of the period for which premium is paid or the date the enrollment form and full premium are received by the company whichever is later.
