MS - My father also has a similar condition. He had an angioplasty done in India couple of years back. I would like to know the costs you incurred without insurance. They are planning to travel this year and would like to know the best insurance policy to purchase.

Andrew - do you care to respond to Sergey's complaint? With this kind of feedback - it makes it impossible to consider buying atlas insurance.

I did buy this insurance with pre-exiting coverage clause. My
father had to be installed a pacemaker. He had angioplasty done
2 years before but doctors said that requirement of pacemaker
is entirely independent of his condition earlier so it couldnt
be treated as a pre-exiting condition. But, atlas america denied
all the claims based on the clause that it was pre-exiting condition
inspite of we buying the above mentioned insurance and the reason
was that we did not sought treatment within 24 hours of symptoms.
The symptoms he was having earlier than 24 hours were not enough
to sought any treatment. As soon as we noticed that his pulse is low then we took him to ER within 24 hours. If atlas america said that
we reject claim on pre-exiting condition then why make fool of '
people by false advertising and by rejecting claims on foolish
excuses. WOuld you go to ER if you have a little low blood pressure.
