Two big organizations MassMutual (Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company) and United Way of Greater High Point have joined hands together and decided to provide $50,000 term life insurance policies for free in order to benefit working families and children in the towns and cities situated across the High Point area.

As a part of the organizations philanthropic initiative called the LifeBridge program where the premiums of the individuals would be paid by MassMutual. Bobby Smith, the president of the United Way of Greater High Point is extremely happy with this initiative and is excited about providing free life insurance to the local working families.

To qualify for the coverage, legal guardians and parents should be between the age of 19 and 42. They should have at least one dependant child who is less than 18 years old and fall into the income bracket of $10,000 and $40,000. They should be legal or permanent residents of US. The eligible individuals can apply for the coverage on July 18th. This initiative would compensate for the childrens education if the guardians or parents die during the term of the insurance policy for $50,000.

About one billion dollars of free coverage is estimated nationally through the LifeBridge program.
