Travel Rite Annual Insurance is a popular travel insurance plan that provides annual travel insurance coverage for a range of travel associated risks. The maximum trip length for any trip cannot exceed 90 days.
 

Travel Rite Annual Insurance provides Policy Maximums as follows:

  • $1,500 Trip Cancellation / Interruption
  • $10,000 – Medical Expense
  • $100,000 – Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation
  • $150 – Baggage Delay
  • $1,000 Baggage & Personal Effects Loss
  • $200 – Pet Care Home Alone
  • $150 – Hotel Overbooking
  • $25,000 – Car Rental Collision Coverage
$250 applicable to Car Rental Collision Coverage.
  • Outside the U.S. and Canada:
    For the Certificate Period, Travel Rite Annual Insurance will pay 100% of Eligible Expenses after the Deductible up to the Overall Maximum Limit.
  • In USA
    For the Certificate Period, Travel Rite Annual Insurance will pay 100% of Eligible Expenses after the Deductible up to the Overall Maximum Limit.
Additional Trip Cancellation / Interruption coverage can be purchased to a maximum of $100,000.
The policy covers all Trips of up to 90 days in length during the annual enrollment period.
Travel Rite Annual Insurance is underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA.
Travel Rite Annual Insurance is administered Travel Guard.
Eligibilty

Travelers who enroll, accept and purchase coverage through the Travel Supplier no later than 24 hours prior to departing on their Trip.

Insurance Effective Date: Insurance elected or provided for an Insured will take effect on the latest of:

(1) The Policy effective date; or

(2) the day after any required plan cost has been paid;

Any required payment must be made on the earlier of the following:

(1) The day before the scheduled departure date for the first Trip to be covered by this plan.

Coverage Effective Date: Trip Cancellation Coverage will be effective for an Insured at 12:01 a.m. on the date following payment for any required plan cost.

All other coverage will begin on the later of:

(a) 12:01 a.m. on the Scheduled Departure Date shown on the travel documents or

(b) the date and time the Insured starts a Trip, taken during the Individual Coverage Term provided any required plan cost has been paid.

Insurance Termination Date: Insurance elected by an Insured will end on the earliest of:

(1) 365 days from the date of the Insured’s Effective Date of insurance.

Coverage Termination Date: All Coverage other than Trip Cancellation ends on the earlier of:

(a) the scheduled Return Date for a Trip;

(b) the Insured’s arrival at the Return Destination on a round Trip or the Destination on a one-way Trip;

(c) the date the Insured’s Insurance terminates.

Remarks
  • Renewal: Annual coverage terminates 365 days following the policy effective date. Coverage is valid for any travel 100 miles or more from their primary residence (not applicable to Trip Cancellation and interruption coverage). A new application is required after termination.
  • Cancellation: If you are not completely satisfied, you can receive a refund of the cost. Requests must be submitted to Travel Guard in writing within 15 days of the effective date of the coverage, provided it is not past the original departure date.
