Travel Guard Platinum Insurance
Platinum is a popular travel insurance plan for US citizens traveling overseas. It provides coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, missed connections, baggage loss/delay, medical expenses, emergency evacuations, accidental death and dismemberment as well as 24 hour travel assistance. The plan offers valuable upgrades like Evacuation to hospital of your choice and Cancel for any reason coverage.

The Platinum plan provides Policy Maximums as follows:
- Trip Cancellation Coverage for 100% of Trip Cost up to $100,000;
- 150% of Trip Cost Trip Interruption or $1,000 Trip Interruption - Return Air Only
- $1,000 Trip Delay
- $500 Missed Connection
- $2,500 Baggage & Personal Effects
- $500 Baggage Delay
- $50,000 Medical Expense
- $1,000,000 Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation
- $50,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment

- Outside the U.S. and Canada:
For the Certificate Period, Underwriters will pay 100% of Eligible Expenses after the Deductible up to the Overall Maximum Limit.

For the Certificate Period, Underwriters will pay 100% of Eligible Expenses after the Deductible up to the Overall Maximum Limit.

Several optional coverages are available: Cancel For Any Reason Medical Coverage Upgrade that includes transport to hospital of your choice, Car Rental Collision Coverage and Flight Accident coverage. |

Eligibility:
Coverage must be purchased at least 24 hours prior to departure. Extra coverage is available if plan is purchased within 15 days of making the initial trip deposit. Travel to sanctioned countries is not covered under the plan.
Plan Benefits:
The Platinum plan insurance offers a broad range of benefits including:
- Reimburses pre-paid nonrefundable expenses if you must cancel or interrupt your trip due to unforeseen covered reasons.
- Reimburses for missed connections up to the Maximum Limit shown on the Schedule of Benefits if inclement weather or common carrier causes cancellation or a delay of regularly scheduled airline flights for three or more hours to your point of departure.
- Reimburses for loss, theft, or damage to your luggage and possessions, even if borrowed or rented. Covers loss of all passports, visas, and unauthorized use of credit cards if you have complied with the credit card conditions, subject to the Maximum Benefit.
- If your baggage is delayed more than 12 hours while on a trip, you will be reimbursed for the purchase of essential items, subject to the Maximum Benefit.
- Pays medical expenses within one year of any injury or Sickness occurring on the trip provided initial treatment was received during the trip.
- Covers evacuation and transportation as directed by a physician to the nearest adequate medical facility (home in the event of death or if medically required).
- Pays for loss of life or limb if it occurs within 365 days of an accident during your trip.
- Includes 24-hour emergency travel assistance services - your personal "911" hotline when you travel.
Remarks:
- Includes 24/7 emergency travel assistance services to locate English speaking medical services and facilities throughout the world and to coordinate medical evacuations.
- Renewal: Coverage available for trips up to 365 days. All coverage except trip cancellation will be extended up to a maximum of 7 days if the return trip is postponed for a covered reason.
- Cancellation: Refunds less an administrative processing fee can be given if a written request is received within 15 days of effective date of the plan as long as it is not past the departure date.
