| Coverage Options |
Trips are limited to 14 days
and must be:
- To a Destination outside the Insured’s
city of residence;
- For business or pleasure and not to obtain
health care or treatment of any kind;
- Defined with specified departure and
return dates at the time of application;
and,
- Conducted primarily by Common Carrier
and only incidentally by private conveyance.

Student Guard® insures trips
limited to 14 days; coverage under the policy
can be extended if:
- The Insured’s entire Trip is covered
by the policy; and,
- The Insured’s return is delayed
by unforeseeable circumstances beyond his/her
control.

Eligibility:
Persons eligible for insurance under the
policy are any traveler(s) who is a United States
or Canadian resident who makes enrollment for coverage
and pays the premium providing they have not already
departed on their trip. Insured must be under 29 years
old.
Trip Cancellation Benefit becomes effective on the
latest of:

12:01 am on the day after the
Enrollment Form is postmarked to Travel Guard if
coverage is purchased by mail;
-
At 12:01 am on the day after
the Enrollment Form is phoned in to Travel Guard
if coverage is purchased via phone;
-
12:01 am on the day after the
Enrollment Form is completed online..
All other coverages will begin on the later of:
-
The date and time the Insured
starts his/her trip; or,
-
The scheduled Trip Departure
Date shown on the Enrollment Form
Coverage will end on the earliest of:
-
The date the Trip is completed;
-
The scheduled Trip Completion
Date as shown on the Individual Enrollment Form;
-
The insured’s arrival
at the Return Destination on a round Trip, or the
Destination on a one-way trip; or,
-
Cancellation of the Trip covered
in the policy.

Remarks:
- Renewal: The plan is nonrenewable
- Cancellation: Refund is available
if the cancellation request is received in writing
